He maintained an average of 69.90 throughout the season. His highest score was that of 119 which came against India's arch-rivals Pakistan in a stiff run chase of 300.

2. Virat Kohli (357 runs in 2012 Asia Cup)

At no.2 in the list of top run scorers in a single Asia Cup edition is India's run machine, Virat Kohli. Back in 2012, Virat Kohli at 24 years of age scored 357 runs in 3 matches of the Asia cup. He maintained a stunning average of 119. 

His highest score was 183 against Pakistan. The match will be remembered due to India's incredibly chasing down a total of 330 banking on Virat Kohli's sensational knock.

At the top position in the list is India's formidable middle-order batsman, Suresh Raina. The left-handed batsman scored a total of 372 runs in the six matches that he played in the tournament that year. He had an average of 74.4. 

His highest score was that of 116 which came against Bangladesh during India's run chase of 287. He smashed two centuries and two half-centuries and was the second highest run-scorer in Asia Cup 2008.
