India's Future Tour Programme (FTP) for 2023-27:
As far as Indian FTP is concerned. The elite Border-Gavaskar Trophy has now become a five-Test series, which used to be a four-test affair. India will tour Down Under in 2024-25 to play the five-match Border Gavaskar Trophy. Meanwhile, before that, Australia is due to visit India to regain the lost BGT next year, which is apparently part of the ongoing FTP.
India will also play five-test match series with England in the next scheduled FTP in early 2024. Meanwhile, the T20I fixtures have also become a five-match affair to cater to the broadcaster?s demand.
The Indian team is also scheduled to visit West Indies for an all-format tour in July-Aug 2024. The two sides will play two Tests, as many ODIs and 3 T20Is.
Meanwhile, the number of ODI matches have been dropped significantly with the decrease in consumption. The ODI series that used to be a five-match series have now been curtained to three matches only.
