India have just completed the Sri Lanka tour where they played a three-match T20I series and a three-match ODI series. Surya Kumar Yadav was handed the captaincy duties and it also was the debut series for Gautam Gambhir as the head coach of India. India sealed the T20I series 3-0 and clean-swept the home team.
Sri Lanka turned the table around in the ODI series under the leadership of Charith Asalanka. The big names of Indian Cricket were back on the side for the series and Rohit Sharma was leading the team for the team. The pitches at R Premadasa Stadium were more on the spin-friendly side this time, and the home side dominated on those conditions.
India managed to tie the first ODI but despite a couple of small positives, India didn't win anything. Anything includes the Toss! India lost the remaining two matches by 32 runs and 110 runs respectively. Rohit Sharma's innings and decent middle-over bowling were the two positives of the series.
Let's take a look at India's next matches and fixtures after Sri Lanka Tour 2024:
India's Fixture After Sri Lanka Tour 2024
Now, after the completion of the ODI series, India have no international fixture for more than a month. After 41 days from today, India will host Bangladesh for two tests and three T20Is. However, taking the political and local instability in Bangladesh into consideration, this tour might get canceled.
After the Bangladesh Tour of India, New Zealand are scheduled to travel to India for the bilateral Test series. And then comes the most awaited India tour of Australia- the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.
