India?s T20I & ODI Squad for England tour announced by the BCCI: The All-India Senior Selection Committee has announced a full-strength Indian squad for the upcoming three matches T20I and as many games ODI series against England. Rohit Sharma will be back in the side as the captain after recovering from the covid and will be available from the opening T20I itself. While the rest of test bound players will be available from the second T20I.
Notably, team India and England will engage in the one-off rescheduled fifth test match, starting today (1st July) in Edgbaston following which the T20I and ODI series will be held.
Rohit Sharma, who was going to be part of the one-off test match, was ruled out of the fixture due to covid. The Indian skipper will be available from the first T20I while the other test players such as Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant and Jasprit Bumrah are given a short break before being available from the second T20I.
Notably, all-rounder, Hardik Pandya has made a comeback in the ODI squad as well following his heroics in the IPL. He recently led a second-string Indian team against Ireland in the two matches T20I series.
