INR 33,000 Crores set as the base price for IPL 2023- 27 media rights: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is anticipating a massive windfall as it sets the base price for the next cycle of Indian Premier League (IPL) media rights close to INR 33,000 Crores. The ongoing cycle of the IPL media rights, which are with Star India, will end with the completion of the Tata IPL 2022.

The Invitation to Tender (ITT) document has already been rolled out by the Indian cricket board which is available for purchase at a fee of INR 25 Lakhs, non-refundable, plus any applicable taxes.?

With the Indian Premier League (IPL) being a ten-team affair and a total of 74 matches are being held, the invitation document is being rolled out in four different bundles.

Notably, the BCCI has reserved the option of increasing the total number of matches in the future, however, the currently offered bundle is according to the ten teams and 74 matches.

IPL Media Rights Bundles:

Bundle 1 - The first bundle or Bundle A will be for the Indian subcontinent region. The television rights of the Indian subcontinent are at a base price of INR 49 Crore per match for the next five years, which takes the total calculation to INR 18,130 Crores in five years.

Bundle 2 - The second Bundle or Bundle B is a digital rights bundle. The base price per game here will be INR 33 crore per game which takes the calculation up to INR 12,210 crores in the five years span.

Bundle 3 - The Bundle C which is termed the special package, which comprises of a total 18 IPL matches, is priced at INR 16 crores per game. The total calculation here, in the five year time, adds up to INR 1440 Crores. Bundle C 18 matches will include the opening, final games, 4 playoffs and the night matches of the doubleheaders.

Bundle 4 - The final bundle is for the players outside the Indian subcontinent which is priced at INR 3 Crores a game. The total of this bundle goes up to INR 1110 crores. The winning player of his bundle will have both television and digital rights for the IPL matches in the rest of the world.
