The Royal Challengers Bangalore have a decent IPL 2022?going on. The only thing that can keep them in the race for playoffs of IPL 2022 is a big victory in their final game. The reason is that they have a poor NRR. The RCB management might have found it difficult to get their hands on the title but they can build a friendly environment off the field. Every player that has ever played for RCB acknowledges that it is a homely environment. Here is an in-depth look at the latest announcement that Christopher Henry Gayle, ?The Universe Boss? and Abraham Benjamin De Villiers, ?Mr. 360? have been inducted into the RCB hall of fame:?
AB De Villiers and Chris Gayle are Inducted into the RCB Hall of Fame during IPL 2022:
AB De Villiers has been an integral part of the RCB setup since 2011. This genius from South Africa has been associated with Bangalore for most of his IPL career. ABD has given the RCBians several moments to cherish. His mere presence on the field scared the opponents. ?
Chris Gayle on the other hand has left the RCB camp with a huge bag of memories. Chris came in as a replacement for Dirk Nannes in 2011. That very season he got 2 hundred and 7 fifty plus scores. The dominance of Chris Gayle was felt every time stepped onto the field. The RCB camp couldn?t have found two more ideal personalities to be inducted. ?
This is what ?Mike Hesson?, the director of cricketing operations at RCB had to say during the event. ?We have a 15-year-old legacy at RCB. RCB genuinely cares and respects our history. So, one of the things that have been introduced as a link between the past and the present, we have a ?cap number? for every player. Then we discussed the concept of the RCB hall of fame. Then we came up with criteria. As many amazing players have played for RCB, we had to have a specific criterion. So, we chose individuals who have had a massive contribution. Firstly, our past player (former RCB player), not currently in the IPL, minimum 3 years at RCB, and having a positive influence on the brand RCB by performance on and off the field are the factors for the decision.?
Virat Kohli inducts ABD and Chris Gayle into the RCB Hall of Fame:
This is what Virat Kohli added when he was asked to speak and induct these champion players into the RCB hall of fame, ?It's truly an honor for me to stand here and do this for 2 people with whom I have spent a lot of time while playing for RCB. The first inductee is AB, and the second is Chris. AB has truly changed the game of cricket with his innovation, brilliance, and sportsmanship which truly defines what RCB stands for.??
??It is truly special for me to do this for the both of you. We saw videos of how you have changed the way the IPL is being played over the years. You are two people who have had a huge impact on IPL being where it is today and RCB being where it is today. With AB I have played for 11 years and with Chris, I have played for 7 and both the journeys began in 2011. It was a special year as I met the both of you and we started playing together., he added while he spoke to both of them. It was an emotional speech. ??
