IPL 2022 Complete Rules for Cricketers and Support Staff: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have recently updated all the ten Indian Premier League (IPL) teams about the rules and regulations to be followed during the IPL 2022. The Indian cricket board have set up a strong list of rules that needs to be followed by everyone involved for the safe conduct of the tournament amid covid.
All the IPL teams will start assembling in Mumbai on March 8. Indian cricketers and support staff will undergo three days of mandatory quarantine while the overseas players and support staff will have to complete their five days isolation.
?Teams will start practicing most likely by March 14-15 onwards. Players and support staff will start coming to Mumbai around March 8 for the IPL,? sources in the know of developments told ANI.
The source further added that every involved member will have to take a pre-travel RT-PCR test 48 hours ahead of their travel.
?The participants who will be part of the bubble will undergo strict quarantine for 3-5 days before entering their respective bubbles. All participants will undergo pre-travel RT-PCR testing 48 hours before their scheduled travel from their home destination to Mumbai,? said the source.
Players and support staff will have to show three RT-PCR negative reports during their isolation period in Mumbai, before getting a licence to join their respective team?s bio-secure bubble.
?While in quarantine, they will undergo in-room RT-PCR testing three times, first on day 1, second on day 3 and the final one on day 5. In case of three days quarantine, they will get tested every day. If all three test results are negative, they will be permitted to exit quarantine and commence team activities,? the source added.

25 per cent fans allowed in IPL 2022:
The most anticipated fifteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is scheduled to commence on March 26th. The final of the gala Indian T20 tournament will be held on May 29th.
Earlier, in the week, the BCCI and Maharashtra Government confirmed the participation of fans during the IPL 2022. As per the recently released guidelines, around 25 per cent of fully vaccinated fans will be allowed inside the stadium premises to watch their favourite IPL team in action.
Further, it was assured by the state government that the IPL team busses will be provided with a separate traffic lane which will help them to dodge the infamous Mumbai snarls during their movement from Hotel to Stadiums and to practice grounds and maintain their bio-secure bubbles.
For the unversed, four grounds across Maharashtra will host the entire league stage of the IPL. Wankhede Stadium, Brabourne Stadium, DY Patil Stadium and MCA International Stadium will stage the 70 matches of the Tata IPL 2022.
