Delhi Capitals: Analysis

Delhi Capitals

Gameplan - The capitals just when it seemed had got a pretty good enough start to their season were derailed first by a defeat to the Gujarat Titans in a moderate run chase followed by another disappointment against the Lucknow Super Giants. The players haven't been able to showcase consistent performances in tough phases of the game thereby letting the opposition side run away with the points crucially.

The players who'd been carrying the responsibilities with a lot of efficiency in the last seasons thereby helping their side do well, have shown a major downfall so far this season. It's their failure that has hurt the team's hopes of making a convincing start to their campaign. The team management will be hoping for an improved performance from the players in tomorrow's game against KKR.

Possible Playing XI:- Prithvi Shaw, David Warner, Mitchell Marsh/Rovman Powell, Rishabh Pant (c & wk), Sarfaraz Khan, Lalit Yadav, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Mustafizur Rahman, Anrich Nortje.

Probable Top Performers

Probable best batsman of today?s match - Shreyash Iyer

The Kolkata Knight Rider's have no doubt shown some top quality performance so far in the season. The reason for this surely is the fact that majority of there players have been performing consistently. Their captain Shreyash Iyer who had been drafted in with lots of hopes is amongst the players who're being closely watched by the fans. Iyer so far has delivered few good looking performances but none of them have been able to justify his high price tag until now.

Maybe it's finally time for the Kolkata skipper to step up to the ocassion and deliver a thunderous performance with the bat in tomorrow's game thereby proving his worth. The right handed has been of great service with the bat many times in the past seasons for his earlier franchise Delhi Capitals. Hopefully he rediscovers his old touch once again in tomorrow's game vs his former franchise.

Kolkata Ramesh Yadav no doubt has been the most influential and improved bowler so far in this season of the IPL. His bowling performance is so far have been way better than anybody is expectations without a doubt.

After having delivered to man of the match winning performances for his side so far Umesh Yadav no doubt will once again be looking to contribute to his teams success in tomorrow's match against the Delhi capitals. The team management and coaching staff will be the happiest to see such amazing rise of the pacer in Kolkata's colours this season.
