IPL 2022 Points Table, Orange Cap, Purple Cap: The doubleheader Saturday of the Indian Premier League (IPL) finished with two low scoring matches between Gujarat Titans and Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
The afternoon fixture between GT and KKR was convincingly bagged by Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans (GT) by eight runs after defending an average total of 156 runs.
KKR restricted GT to a low score and it was reckoned that Shreyas Iyer and Co would chase down the target easily. However, Gujarat flexed their excellent bowling performance and defeated KKR, even in a low scoring match.
Meanwhile, in the second fixture between SRH and RCB, Kane Williamson won the toss and invited RCB to bat first. South African pacer Marco Jansen rattled through the top order of the Royal Challengers Bangalore and scalped the wickets of Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli and Anuj Rawat in just a single over.
T Natarajan came in to support Marco Jansen and he too scalped three wickets and cramped RCB to a scanty total of 68 runs. The total was chased down by SRH in eight overs and took two crucial rating points along with a healthy jump in the net run rate.
This article will take you through IPL 2022: Points Table, Orange Cap, Purple Cap after SRH vs RCB match.
