IPL 2022: Top 3 Players Who Have Made a Comeback in the IPL.
By Nikhil Patil May 4, 2022 2:10 AM IST
The IPL 2022 season has begun and the most unexpected performers, the Gujarat Titans are on the top of the points table. Yesterday?s game witnessed GT getting bashed by the Punjab Kings. But the results in this IPL are some of the most unexpected ones. Some games are flipping over their heads. The excitement that this season has bought is amazing. However, some players are looking for redemption. These are players who have a big name but were waiting for getting a chance to show their best is yet to come. So, here?s a look:?
1) Dinesh Karthik Plays for RCB in IPL 2022:
Dinesh Karthik has made a strong statement while playing as the finisher for RCB. Karthik?s best season as a batter in 2013 has come while batting at number 3 but he is making a strong case for himself as a finisher too. The Kolkata Knight Riders gave him the same role and he wasn?t given freedom. But at the RCB camp, his idea is clear and he can enjoy a lot of freedom. Dinesh Karthik is scoring runs at a strike rate of 194 and averages 54 in the IPL 2022 season. Now those numbers are throughout 10 games and are good enough to get him a national team call-up. Brushing away all the rumors that his career is done and dusted, Karthik has proven an amazing point that age is just a number. ?
2) Kuldeep Yadav Plays for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2022:
Talk about comebacks and Kuldeep Yadav has certainly made a good one. After being neglected by the national team and the Kolkata Knight Riders? camp for over 2 years, Kuldeep is back and is rooting for more. He is second on the list of highest wicket-takers. It seems like Kuldeep has found his rhythm back and the drift that he is getting is supreme. You can feel that his confidence is sky-high.
His performance against KKR, where he picked 4 wickets, started a meme trend on Instagram and other social media platforms. He has picked up 17 wickets from 9 games at an economy of 8.2 and an average of 15.8 in the IPL 2022. Kuldeep has also made a strong case for himself for getting picked for the ICC T20 World Cup to be held in Australia this year. ?Credit to Rishabh Pant, Punter, Shane Watson, and Pravin Amre who have backed this superstar.
3) Hardik Pandya:
Hardik Pandya and an amazing IPL season were long due. The thing that has kept Hardik out of action for a long time is his back injury. With the kind of diet that a poor Hardik Pandya had it was inevitable that he would be injured multiple times. But credits to the BCCI and the NCA, who have worked on this individual?s fitness. Also, credit to Hardik to have the mental toughness to walk in and perform. After getting the role as the skipper of his home team, Hardik has become a more mature player.?
?His ability to take responsibility has increased four-folds. Hardik now walks in at number 3 or number 4 and controls the game in the way he wants to. The first few games of IPL 2022 saw Hardik bowling at 135 clicks and bowling a full quota of 4 overs. Hardik is 6th?in the list of top run-getters, scoring 309 runs. ?
