IPL 2023 Auction: 3 Players Delhi Capitals (DC) can buy in IPL 2023 Auction.
Young Delhi Capitals (DC) had an underwhelming IPL season in 2022. The franchise that had several shining stars on paper couldn?t qualify for the playoffs of the IPL 2022 and finished in fifth place. Definitely, it turned out to be the ebbs and flows kind of campaign for the Capitals, which requires multiple amends to make a better outing in the upcoming seasons. This article will talk about 3 Players Delhi Capitals (DC) can buy in IPL 2023 Auction.
IPL 2022 saw multiple shades of Delhi Capitals. It showed DC?s success, failure and rage moments to the fans. If we were to pick a moment that summed Delhi?s IPL 2022 season, it would certainly be Rishabh Pant losing his cool against Rajasthan Royals (RR) and asking his batters to leave the field. This very incident turned the tide against Delhi as multiple penalties were slapped against Pant and Delhi Capitals. Also, Delhi lost the game against RR and subsequently made an exit from the tournament.
However, Kuldeep Yadav?s redemption along with David Warner?s back-to-back fiery knocks were two major highlights for Delhi Capitals in the Tata IPL 2022. While Kuldeep scalped 21 wickets, Warner amassed 432 runs at an impressive average of 48.00.
Meanwhile, in the next season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Delhi will have to start afresh with a new approach. This time the franchise will equip itself with proper backup plans and apt strategies to make a memorable bounce back in the Indian T20 tournament.
Ahead of the IPL 2023, Delhi has already made a few changes in its squad during the player retentions. DC has released five of its players including Shardul Thakur (traded), Tim Seifert, Ashwin Hebbar, Srikar Bharat, and Mandeep Singh.

3 Players Delhi Capitals (DC) can buy in IPL 2023 Auction:
Adil Rashid:
Although Delhi had its spin department sorted for the Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, it still needs a tweaker to make it less vulnerable in differing conditions across India. DC have Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav, who performed brilliantly in the last IPL season.
Unlike last year, the IPL 2023 will be held in the home and away format across 10 different venues. Every franchise will require some specialist players who can adapt to a number of conditions throughout the tournament.
In such a case, Delhi will strongly require the services of another spinner. Looking at Adil Rashid?s performance in the T20 World Cup 2022, Delhi must consider having him in their squad.
DC can alternatively opt to go for Mayank Markande, who has been released by Mumbai Indians (MI). Markande had a fantastic record in the IPL till Mumbai treated him as the first-choice spinner in the team. He scalped 15 wickets in IPL 2018 and was then suddenly dropped from the team.
Cameron Green:
Delhi?s top order is completely packed with big match players. But, their lower middle order caused a few troubles for them in the last IPL season. Although Axar Patel tried to chip in on multiple occasions, however, it wasn?t enough for the franchise to go over the rope.
Cameron Green would be someone who can solve Delhi?s lower-middle order issue. The Aussie cricketer has all the skills required to smack bowlers out of the park and can also deliver four quality overs while bowling.
Moreover, with Delhi having Ricky Ponting in their camp as their coach, their chances of going behind Cameron Green actually increase significantly. Ponting is very much impressed, in fact, everyone, with how Green has performed over the last few months.
Manish Pandey:
To further strengthen their middle-order batting, Delhi Capitals (DC) can rope in Manish Pandey, who has been released by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) ahead of the IPL 2023 auction.
Pandey has a lot of experience under his sleeves after playing cricket for so long. He is accustomed to playing the role of a genuine middle-order batter, who can build the innings as well as score runs briskly.
Besides his outing in the Tata IPL 2022, he has been a phenomenal player during the mid-phase of the innings and his stats show it without a doubt.
