Gujarat Titans Retained & Released Player List [Updated], Gujarat Titans Squad for IPL 2024: Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans (GT) was about to clinch their second consecutive IPL title in the Tata IPL 2023, however, CSK's overwhelming brilliance took them out of the contest at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Barring the IPL 2023 Final, Gujarat Titans had another season to remember up on their sleeves.

The Ahmedabad-based franchise managed to win 10 matches in the league stage and finished atop the points table with 20 rating points. Their outstanding run in the tournament was a testament to the strategies they had devised for themselves. Playing two finals in the first two seasons, and in fact, winning one, is no mean feat.

Squad-wise, Gujarat Titans looked perfectly fine. They had almost all of their bases covered. The batting was brilliant, the bowling unit was packed with superstars who performed consistently and the fielding, too, remained at the top.

Despite having all the bases covered Gujarat Titans (GT) failed to topple Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Final of the IPL 2023. In fact, CSK had defeated Gujarat in the Qualifier 1 as well.

So, what went wrong for the team spearheaded by Hardik Pandya? Experts believe that Gujarat didn't have a settled number three batter. The franchise tested young Sai Sudharsan, Vijay Shankar and Hardik Pandya in that particular slot. However, things didn't work out well enough for the team.

Sai Sudharsan showed some promising signs early on in the tournament, but he was dropped later on. Hardik Pandya batted at number three, but couldn't provide enough substance to the team. Vijay Shankar, too, batted at number three, but the franchise in the very next game demoted him to number six, despite scoring a half-century.

Gujarat Titans (GT) would look to solve the number three mystery in the upcoming IPL 2024 Auction. The franchise does not have a lot of problems on its plate, and hence we would not see a long list of released players. Below is the Gujarat Titans' Retained and released Player List.
