IPL 2024 Schedule Update: The IPL 2024 season, in its 17th edition, is scheduled [expected] to take place from March 22, 2024, to May 26, 2024. The BCCI has yet to announce the detailed schedule for the matches and venues. The tournament will feature 10 teams, and a total of 74 matches will be played in IPL 2024. The opening match will take place between the defending champions, Chennai Super Kings (CSK), and Gujarat Titans at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai on March 22, 2024.

TATA Group has secured the title sponsorship rights for IPL 2024-28, with a fee of INR 2500 crore. Here are the teams and their captains participating in IPL 2024:
