IPL 2024: Top 10 Players with Highest Strike Rate in IPL: The seventeenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is scheduled to get underway on March 22. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), in its bid to host the world's most competitive cricket league, is leaving no stone unturned. The preparation for the mega T20 league is already underway as we head closer to the tournament opener in Chennai.
Over the years the Twenty20 fixture has evolved and to a larger extent, it has become a batters' game. The shorter boundaries facilitate that idea and it's been a bed of roses for the batters. The advancement in the batting techniques makes it even better for the players to whack the bowling units.
A T20 fixture is filled with the thrill of scoring quick runs. Players often take their chances against the bowlers to score runs quickly. Very rarely the occasions come when the matches are restricted at low scores.
Strike rate is one aspect which every team focuses on in the T20Is. T20 Teams, around the world, focus hard on onboarding players with high strike rates, who can quickly score runs through boundaries and sixes towards the end of the innings.
