IPL 2025: Jofra Archer records the worst bowling figures in the IPL, concedes 76 runs versus SRH
Elite pacer of the Rajasthan Royals (RR) Jofra Archer claimed an unwanted record to his name during his team's IPL 2025 league phase match versus the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Sunday, 23rd of March as he recorded the worst bowling-figures in the history of the Tata Indian Premier League (IPL).
The 29-year-old gave away 76 runs without picking up a single wicket in his four-over spell at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad as Travis Head and Ishan Kishan showed no mercy to the pacer.
The English bowler surpassed Gujarat Titans' (GT) pacer Mohit Sharma to top the list of the most expensive bowling-spells in the history of the cash-rich t20 league. Mohit had previously given away 73 runs for no wickets in his four over spell last year versus the Delhi Capitals (DC).
Jofra Archer was the most expensive player purchase of the Rajasthan-based team in the IPL 2025 Mega Auction for a whooping price tag of 12.50 crore Indian rupees. The 29-year-old seamer managed to bowl just one single dot ball and conceded 20 fours and four huge sixes in his four over spell on Sunday.
