Indians vs Super Kings: The highly-anticipated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) vs Mumbai Indians (MI) match in the Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 started off with an unwanted record for MI's former skipper Rohit Sharma at the M.A Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday, 23rd of March.

After CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad won the toss and asked Mumbai to wear the batting pads, Rohit got out in the very first over of the game for a four-ball duck. The Mumbai-based team is being captained by Suryakumar Yadav with regular captain Hardik Pandya suspended for this game after being banned by the BCCI for a slow-over rate offence last year.

Chennai's new left-arm seamer Khaleel Ahmed removed Rohit as he got caught by Shivam Dube at the mid-wicket position. The 37-year-old flicked an inswinging delivery of Khaleel straight into the hands of Dube.

With this latest dismissal for a duck, the 37-year-old Rohit Sharma now holds the record of the joint-most duck dismissals in the IPL. He joined the duo of Dinesh Karthik & Glenn Maxwell of the Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the top of the unwanted record list.
