IPL Auction 2023: Sam Karan the most expensive player in IPL history, got 18.50 crores

Sam Curran, an English all-rounder who helped England defeat Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2022, was in high demand during the IPL 2023 mini-auction and ended up costing the most money in IPL history. After receiving bids from every team, the Punjab Kings were able to get him for Rs 18.50 crore.

Sam Curran now received a high bid in the auction. For Curran, there was a ferocious race among all the franchises. His current performance is the cause of this. He won the T20 World Cup 2022's player of the competition award. In the end, he crushed Pakistan's hope. Sam Curran also made his IPL debut in the Punjab jersey, so going back to Punjab is like a homecoming for him.
