The IPL Auction 2023 is expected to be held in December or January. Before the auction, the teams are expected to release and retain the players they would like to. There are a certain set of retention rules, but these are nominal. It is not a mega auction, so the teams can retain a considerable number of players. RCB has always had good players. They do like to release a few players, though. So, who are the top 3 players who will most likely be released by the RCB? Here is a look:?
Rajat Patidar might be Released by the Royal Challengers Bangalore before IPL Auction 2023:?
Rajat Patidar and his stocks have risen drastically. Over the last year, Rajat has excelled in his game by four-folds. He was playing for RCB last season at a price of 20 lakh Indian Rupees. But this time around, the scenario might be a bit different. Rajat might be the one who will be intending to leave RCB as he may get a better price in the market. An Indian middle-order batter is not a very common commodity and the one who is most likely a ?national team prospect? is at least worth 2 to 3 crores! Hence Rajat might want to part ways with RCB.
Sherfane Rutherford:
The Royal Challengers Bangalore will be looking to make a more formidable middle order. Ruther ford is the kind of batter who is more like to be used as a pinch-hitter. By having Glenn Maxwell in the mix, RCB has already ticked that box. So, there is a good chance that Rutherford might be released. It has always been a lack of opportunity in his case that has marred him. He had the potential of being the next Kieron Pollard! Sherfane might also want to part ways with RCB due to limited game time. ?
David Willey might be Released by RCB Before IPL Auction 2023:?
The IPL Auction 2023 will see the likes of Sam Curran, Cameron Green, Chris Woakes, and even Ben Stokes back in the pool of players. The Royal Challengers Bangalore will be intending to give themselves the best shot at bagging at least one of these players. So, it will be a wise move to let go of David Willey. David Willey game at a decent price of 2 Crore Indian Rupees. He might be released and the RCB management can go for another left-arm pacer. ?
