The development was confirmed after International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the latest player rankings on Wednesday.
As per the latest ICC ODI Ranking, Mohammad Siraj slips to third place after copping with the burnt of assault from Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head in the IND vs AUS 2nd ODI held in Vishakhapatnam, a couple of days ago. However, Siraj was brilliant during the first ODI between the two sides, where he returned with a fine figure of three wickets in 5.4 overs.
The hero of the IND vs AUS 2nd ODI, Mitchell Starc has made significant gains to move up the ladder as he sits in joint third position with India's Mohammad Siraj with 702 rating points.
