Former India cricketer Aakash Chopra has picked his three players to watch for in the RCB vs KKR game in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The match between the teams will take place on Friday (29th March) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
RCB vs KKR game promises to be an enthralling game as both the teams over the years have been involved in high octane clash. Not only the competition between bat and ball is high but also the game has seen tempers flare up as well.
With Gautam Gambhir being back with KKR, the rivalry gets even more intense and it’s fair to say that fans at M Chinnaswamy stadium would be up for a feast today. RCB of late has struggled to get going against KKR in the IPL.
RCB last won a home game against KKR in 2015 and since then they have suffered defeats. But with the crowd being in their favour along with quality players this time around, they surely will be favourites to win the game at M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
With RCB vs KKR game just a few hours away from now, Aakash Chopra has picked three players to watch out for. The cricketer-turned-commentator has backed Virat Kohli to come out good. He believes that his battle against KKR spinners will be key. Speaking in a video posted on his YouTube channel, he stated:
“The first player I am picking is Kohli because Kohli likes KKR and Kohli has form. You will have to talk about Kohli in whichever team he might be. Kohli’s form is good in any case but no one plays spin better than Kohli in this team.”
RCB vs KKR: Aakash Chopra picks Glenn Maxwell and Mohammed Siraj as the other two players to watch out for
Aakash Chopra further backed Glenn Maxwell and Mohammed Siraj to come good in the RCB vs KKR. He cited that Maxwell could be a valuable asset for RCB with the ball as well as KKR has a lot of left-handers in the team. He added:
“The second player I am focusing on is Glenn Maxwell. We all know that Maxi is hit and miss but I am focusing on this player for two reasons. Off-spin – Sunil Narine, Venkatesh Iyer, Nitish Rana, Rinku Singh – they (KKR) have four left-handers. When you have so many left-handers, an off-spinner is required.”
For Mohammed Siraj, Aakash Chopra feels that his matchup against left-handers makes him a threatening force for his team. The former India commentator also urged RCB to play Reece Topley instead of Alzarri Joseph in RCB vs KKR.
