Krunal Pandya to play for Warwickshire in the Royal London Cup 2022: Indian all-rounder Krunal Pandya has been signed by leading English county Warwickshire to play in the Royal London Cup One Day Championship, the county confirmed on Thursday.
Senior Pandya has featured in 19 shortest format games for team India so far along with five ODIs. The southpaw has also appeared in 76 List A matches in which he has scored 2231 runs and picked up 89 wickets.
?Krunal is an incredible signing for the Club, and I?m delighted to welcome him to Edgbaston. Krunal will bring a wealth of international experience to a team that will be desperate to do well,? said Director of Cricket Warwickshire, Paul Farbrace.
Paul termed Krunal Pandya as the world-renowned all-rounder and said it will be a fantastic opportunity for the group to have him on board.
?Due to our impressive T20 performances, we will lose players to The Hundred, but that?s always going to happen to successful teams. The opportunity to add a world-renowned all-rounder to an exciting group is fantastic,? he added.
Krunal is equally excited about the opportunity as he says Edgbaston is a special place to play cricket.

?Edgbaston is a special place to play cricket and I can?t wait to call it my home. I hope I can play my part in a successful 50-over campaign with the Club and I am looking forward to meeting my teammates. I want to extend my gratitude to both Warwickshire County Cricket Club and BCCI for this opportunity,? Krunal said in a statement.
The 31-years old left-arm all-rounder made his 50-overs debut last year against England where he struck the fastest fifty by a debutant in the history of ODI cricket. Pandya slammed his maiden half-century in just 26 deliveries and recorded his name in the history books.
Krunal is a very canny operator of the white ball as seen in the T20s with Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants. The left-arm cricketer has helped Mumbai win multiple IPL titles with his services.
The Royal London Cup will begin on August 2 while the final will be held on September 17. Warwickshire will play eight group matches with half of them scheduled in their home ground, Edgbaston.
