The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Thursday released the entire list of the match officials and the umpires officiating in the upcoming mega event, ICC T20 World Cup 2021. The list includes several Umpires from ICC?s elite panel while Nitin Menon is the solitary Indian in the list of 20 match officials.

The cricket?s governing body unveiled the list of 16 umpires and 4 match officials for officiating in the first round as well as the Super 12s of the showpiece event, slated to be held in Oman?s Muscat and UAE?s Sharjah, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

The released list includes the likes of English umpires Michael Gough, Richard Illingworth and Richard Kettleborough, Sri Lankan Kumar Dharmasena along with 18 others.

The India vs Pakistan high profile fixture scheduled on 24th October will be officiated by the vastly experienced New Zealand's Chris Gaffaney and South African umpire Marais Erasmus. English Richard Illingworth will be the third umpire or the TV umpire while David Boon will be the match referee.

Chris Gaffney along with Sri Lankan Kumar Dharmasena will begin the proceedings of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 as the two experienced will be in the middle of the clash between Oman take on Papua New Guinea on 17th October.

Apart from Nitin Menon, who will be the lone Indian umpire in the list of 16 umpires, Javagal Srinath will be the only match referee to officiate from India in the upcoming mega event.

Adrian Griffith, ICC Senior Manager Umpires and Referees, said: ?We are delighted to be able to call on some of the world?s top officials for the ICC Men?s T20 World Cup with a group of 16 umpires and four match referees.

?Our aim is always to appoint the best possible officials, and we have also been able to appoint neutral umpires and referees in all matches. We wish them all the very best, and we are confident they will ensure the smooth conduct of matches.?
