LSG vs CSK: A big news coming out of Lucknow is that the LSG vs CSK Date Shifted from May 4 to May 3. As per reports, due to the Mayor election in Lucknow, the match which was scheduled to be played on 4th May at Lucknow's Ekana Cricket Stadium is now slated to 3rd May at 3:30 PM.
According to sources, the KL Rahul-led team will now host MS Dhoni and his team a day before the match is set to take place. The game will now take place on May 3 at the Ekana Sports Complex during the day.
However, the BCCI and IPL have not yet made an official announcement. IPL schedules have occasionally been changed because of elections in the past.
It becomes difficult for the local authorities to ensure the deployment of police officers in and around the stadium on election days. Public transportation mobility is also limited at the voting places as a result of the Election Commission's model code of conduct.
Lucknow Super Giants faced Chennai Super Kings recently in IPL 2023 on 3rd April at?MA Chidambaram Stadium,?Chennai?where the home team crushed the visitors by 12 runs. Moin Ali was awarded Player of the Match.
Batting first, CSK put 217 runs on the board with the help of Ruturaj Gaikwad's excellent 57, Conway's stable 47, and a crucial 12 runs cameo from MS Dhoni in the last over which turned out to be the difference at the end.
Chasing that 217 runs target, LSG also got off to an excellent start but quick wickets in the middle and tight CSK bowling restricted LSG to score runs, and hence LSG fell 12 runs short.
