ENGvsIND: Mark Wood ruled out of the third test match between England and India at Headingley

ENGvsIND: More woes added to the English men?s test team as express pacer Mark Wood is ruled out of the third test match between England and India scheduled to be held at Headingley Leeds, starting Wednesday.

The 31 years old sustained a shoulder injury during the fourth day of the second test match. Wood committed to saving a boundary dived and struck headlong into a hoarding board at Lord's Cricket ground.

Despite having a jarred shoulder, Wood stepped in to bowl out on the final day of the match. He scalped five wickets in the complete match and was the best bowler for the hosts during the third innings.

?England seamer Mark Wood has been ruled out of the LV= Insurance third Test against India with a jarred right shoulder,? wrote the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in a statement.

?Wood sustained the injury on the fourth day of the second Test at Lord?s and will not be fit to play at Emerald Headingley starting on Wednesday,? the statement added.

The pacer will remain with the English squad and his availability for the fourth test match will be confirmed in the coming days. England?s medics team will monitor the pacer?s rehab and recovery.

Mark Wood is the latest inductee in the list of English pacers getting injured. Earlier Jofra Archer, Stuart Broad, Chris Woakes and Olly Stones have been ruled out due to their respective injuries.

The third test between India and England will get underway on 25th August at Headingley Leeds. India is up with a lead of 1-0 following a triumph at Lords.
