MS Dhoni, the face and the heart of the Chennai Super Kings was expected to play his last TATA IPL in this season. But this ex-Chennai Super Kings megastar has a different opinion. He says that MS Dhoni can play for the Chennai Super Kings for at least 3 to 4 more years. MS Dhoni was expected to leave in TATA IPL 2022, but it would not be fair on the part of the crowds and his lovers to not see his final game in Chennai. Here is an in-depth look:?
Shane Watson Says, ?MS Dhoni Can Play for 3 to 4 More IPL Seasons?:
In an interview with ANI during the ongoing Legends League Cricket Tournament held in Doha, this is what Shane Watson had to say, ?I heard that this is the last IPL of MS Dhoni, but I don't think. MS Dhoni can continue to play for the next three to four years. He is still very fit and batting and wicket-keeping really well. His leadership is something that is as good as his game. His fitness and mind-reading of the game make him a good leader. His skills on the ground are awesome. He is one of the main reasons that CSK is successful.??
Watson is set to play the final in the Legends League Cricket Tournament. He is representing the World Giants. They are set to square off against Asia Lions in the final. The tournament has its final on March 20. Watson is playing alongside many superstars such as Jacques Kallis, Aaron Finch, and Chris Gayle.
Deepak Chahar Gives Big Update on MS Dhoni?s future in TATA IPL:
Deepak Chahar, the leader of the pace attack of the Chennai Super Kings and a bowler who has improved a lot under the guidance of MS Dhoni had a major update in a recent interview. In a recent interview with News India Sports, as a promotion for the upcoming TATA IPL the reporter asked Deepak Chahar, ?MS Dhoni will play in his last IPL. You saw him practice. How is his batting going on??.?
This question strongly referred to the fact that this is MS Dhoni?s final IPL season to which, Deepak replied, ?No one has said that this would be his final year. At least, he hasn't. Hopefully, he will play more. We don't know any such thing, we want him to play as much as he can?. Deepak further added, ?He knows when to retire, we saw it when he did in Tests and international cricket. No one else knows. I just hope he continues to play, it's a privilege to play under him. It has been a dream to play with him. He's in good touch as well, you will see that when he bats in the IPL this year.?
MS Dhoni had a decent performance with the bat last season. He even managed to score his first 50 after TATA IPL 2019. He ended the season with a strike rate of 123.0, which is not very lucrative. Hence even the Chennai Super Kings struggled a bit. He scored 232 runs at an average of 33.14. But he was batting very low down the order. ?
