The inaugural champions of the Tata Women's Premier League (WPL) Mumbai Indians (MI) successfully defeated the UP Warriors by 8 wickets in the 11th match of WPL 2025. Nat Sciver Brunt played an unbeaten and brilliant half-century innings of 75 runs in batting, along with this, she also gave 3 blows to UP with her bowling. The team of UP team scored 142 runs while batting first in this match, which the Mumbai Indians chased down with 18 balls remaining. Brunt scored 75 and opener Hayley Matthews scored 59 runs for Mumbai. Captain Deepti Sharma was the only bowler to take a wicket for UP.
In this match, UP Warriorz were seen struggling from the beginning. Apart from Grace Harris (45 runs) and Vrinda Dinesh (33 runs), no other player was able to play a big inning for the team. By defeating the Gujarat Giants in yesterday's match, Delhi Capitals secured the first position in the points table of WPL 2025. At the same time, now Mumbai Indians also have 6 points and due to being in a better position than Delhi in terms of net run-rate, MI has become the top ranked team in the points table. UP Warriorz, on the other hand, have dropped down to the fifth position.
