Not Virat Kohli! Mohammed Shami names the best captain of India?

Indian pacer Mohammed Shami has been named the best captain for the Team India he has played under. What caught the attention of many was he didn?t name Virat Kohli, under whom he played most of his career in all three formats.?

Mohammed Shami named MS Dhoni as the best captain he has played under while speaking to News 18. The keeper-batter no doubt has been India?s most successful leader. He guided the team to all the ICC tournament wins under his leadership. 

Ms Dhoni changed the culture of the Indian team and under him team became one of the most dominant in all three formats of the game. He went down as one of the best leaders to have played the game of cricket in all three formats.

Mohammed Shami made his debut against MS Dhoni and is currently one of the leading pacers in world cricket. He has been lethal with the ball in all three formats of the game and has been one of the major reasons behind the team?s success, irrespective of the format. 

The fast bowler was last seen in action in the ICC World Cup 2033. He set the stage on fire in the tournament and was the leading wicket-taker in the event with 24 wickets to his name. His best came in the semi-final, where he picked 7 wickets and helped India win. 

Since the World Cup, he has been out of action due to an ankle injury. The fast bowler missed the South Africa tour and now has been ruled out of the ongoing India vs England Test series as well due to the same injury. 

Mohammed Shami names Virat Kohli as best batter in the world and Rohit Sharma as dangerous batter 


Mohammed Shami also was asked to name the world?s best batter in the world. He didn?t shy away from naming Virat Kohli as the best in the world. He also said that if he had to name a dangerous batter in the world it would be Rohit Sharma.

Both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have been the backbone of the Indian batting lineup for more than the last one decade. The duo have put Team India on the top in terms of batting. With the way they are going, it?s fair to say that they can continue for a few more years.
