NZ vs BAN 2023: New Zealand Announced Test Squad, Rachin Ravindra returns to Test side | New Zealand vs Bangladesh 2023: New Zealand announces a strong 15-member squad for the two-match test series, which is scheduled from 28 November 2023 to 10 December 2023 and both the matches will be played in Bangladesh.
Tim Southee is going to lead New Zealand in this test series despite Kane Williamson and Tom Latham are included in the team. All the key players are expected to get rest in the first test match.
Rachin Ravindra returns to the test squad after two years. Rachin Ravindra played phenomenal cricket in the ICC Men?s ODI World Cup 2023, scoring three centuries so far in this tournament.
There are a number of spinners in the squad for the test series against Bangladesh, as the conditions are favorable for spinners. The addition of spinners in the team over the Pacers might be a good choice for New Zealand.
The Key Pacers like Trent Boult and Lockie Ferguson are rested for this test series. Ajaz Patel, Ish Sodhi, Mitchell Santner, and Glenn Philips are the spinners in the test squad.
New Zealand will be playing a warm-up match before the test series, which is scheduled for 23-24 November at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Sylhet, Bangladesh.
The First Test of this test series will be played at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Sylhet, from 28 November 2023 to 2 December 2023. The Second test match will be played at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka, from 6 December 2023 to 10 December 2023.
This will be very important for New Zealand for the ICC World Test Championship as they haven?t played a single match in this WTC 2023-25 Cycle.
