ODI World Cup 2023: India will host the ICC World Cup in 2023. This year's World Cup is anticipated to take place between October and November. Will Pakistan's team, however, travel to India to compete in the World Cup? Actually, there has been a significant update on this. According to the Foreign Ministry of Pakistan, "a thorough investigation will be conducted before a decision is made regarding whether or not our team will travel to India to compete in the World Cup. We will make a decision, especially after being satisfied with the security-related issues".
Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, a spokesperson for the Pakistani Foreign Ministry, stated that "we think politics shouldn't enter in Cricket. It is unfortunate that India is not playing on Pakistani soil, but refrain from engaging in political games. All factors are being carefully considered", "Especially the security related matters.. After that, we will discuss our viewpoint with the Pakistan Cricket Board before deciding whether or not to play in India".
Let us tell you that the last time the Pakistani team came to play the T-20 World Cup in 2016 seven years ago on the Indian tour. This World Cup was to be held in Dharamshala but at the last moment this match was played at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. On the other hand, if we talk about the Indian team, the last time it went on a tour of Pakistan was in the year 2008.
It will now be interesting to see if the Pakistani team travels to India to compete in the Cricket World Cup in 2023. Speculations are currently being made about this, but the Pakistan Cricket Board and the Pakistani government must make the final decision.
