Shan Masood-led Pakistan suffered a shocking 10-wicket defeat against Bangladesh in the first test match of the two-match series and following that defeat, the home side is looking to bounce back with a win in the second test match and equalise the series, scheduled to be played between the 30th of August and 3rd of September at Rawalpindi’s Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

The ongoing test-series between Pakistan and Bangladesh is a part of the International Cricket Council (ICC)’s World Test Championship 2023-2025 cycle.

The upcoming second test match is a must-win game for the Shaheens as they cannot afford to suffer yet another defeat against the Bangla Tigers or else they will end up losing the series.

Talking about the weather, the conditions are expected to be overcast and humid, with a huge possibility of extreme thunderstorms.

Additionally, winds will be blowing from the northeastern end at a speed of around 11 km/h, with wind gusts expected to reach a speed of 32 km/h. The chances of rainfall interfering with the first day of the test match are pretty high at 85% with a humidity percentage of 79%.

In the first test match of the series, Najmul Hossain Shanto-led Bangladesh scripted history as they defeated the Shaheens for the first time in the longest format of the game, winning the match flawlessly by a margin of 10 wickets and taking a lead of 1-0 in the two-match series.

The Bangla Tigers are looking confident and they would be looking to carry forward their winning momentum of the first test into the second test and clinch the series 2-0.
