PAK vs USA: The ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 match number 11 saw Pakistan skipper - Babar Azam - etch his name in the history of the T20 Internationals by becoming the player with the most runs in the format. Babar Azam achieved the feat during the Pakistan vs United States match at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas on June 06.
Babar Azam scored an ordinary 44-run knock in 43 deliveries against the United States and aided his side to reach the 159-run total in 20 overs.
His 44 runs innings helped him surpass the likes of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma who were placed atop the list of players with most runs in T20Is.
Babar Azam has piled up 4067 runs in 120 matches at an average of 41.08, which takes him to the top spot in the elite list. He has maintained a modest strike rate (129.77) and has struck three centuries to go with 56 half-centuries.
Meanwhile, former Indian captain Virat Kohli is second on the list with not much of a gap between him and Babar Azam. Kohli has scored 4038 runs in 110 innings at an impressive average of 51.11.
Virat is followed by the current Indian skipper Rohit Sharma who has 4026 runs in 144 innings at an average of 32.20. The Indian opener has slammed five tons and 30 half-centuries in the format.

PAK vs USA: USA Stuns Pakistan in Super Over
In a big upset, Monank Patel-led USA blazed and stunned Pakistan in a T20 World Cup 2024 match held last night. The USA kept their nerves and tumbled Pakistan in the epic Super Over in Dallas.
Losing the toss, Babar Azam-led Pakistan were forced to bat first against the USA. The Men in Green scored 159 runs in the loss of 7 wickets in their quota of 20 overs. Skipper Babar Azam top-scored the innings with a score of 44 runs in 43 deliveries. Shadab Khan meanwhile played a handy knock of 40 runs in 25 deliveries which Pakistan to a respectable total in the end.
The USA, meanwhile, showed composure and grit as they equalled the 159-run target. The batting unit was led from the front by skipper Monank Patel, who scored a 38-ball 50. Patel was aided by Andries Gaus, Aaron Jones and Nitish Kumar to take their side to a Super Over.
Batting first in the Super Over, USA added 18 runs, in response to which, Pakistan could only score 13 runs in the loss of 1 wicket. The USA won the contest by 5 runs in the Super Over.
