MULTAN, Pakistan (AP) — Spin-heavy Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat in the first test against the West Indies on Friday.

Lineups:

Pakistan: Shan Masood (captain), Mohammad Hurraira, Babar Azam, Kamran Ghulam, Saud Shakeel, Mohammad Rizwan, Salman Ali Agha, Noman Ali, Sajid Khan, Abrar Ahmed, Khurram Shahzad.

West Indies: Kraigg Brathwaite (captain), Mikyle Louis, Keacy Carty, Alick Athanaze, Kavem Hodge, Kevin Sinclair, Justin Greaves, Tevin Imlach, Gudakesh Motie, Jomel Warrican, Jayden Seales.

An entertaining start to the match. On a rank-turner, Pakistan lost three wickets to seamer, Jayden Seales who was just superb in his spell. He pushed hard to bowl a length spell and got three big wickets. West Indies applied spin from other end, Gudakesh Motie bowled throughout the session but he was not at his best. There is a lot of turn on this pitch and if Gudakesh Motie gets his rhythm, he could be a dangerous customer for Pakistan who after losing four wickets, got a much needed partnership in Shakeel and Rizwan. The duo did well to end the session without losing any more wickets and will hope to do the same in the final session.

The day ends with 86/4 pakistan ,with Mohammad Rizwan 18(46)* and Saud Shakeel 33(52)* on the crease.
