Punjab Kings (PBKS) has been an underwhelming franchise for years now and the recent season of the IPL is no exception. PBKS coach Anil Kumble during the IPL 2022 Player Retentions said that the franchise wanted to retain their skipper KL Rahul and that is the only reason why he was named skipper of the side, however, Rahul wanted to explore other options and parted ways with the franchise.
