PCB announces new look Pakistan squad for the T20I series versus Bangladesh under new coach Mike Hesson
Pakistan's Cricket Governing Body, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday, 21st of May unveiled a 16-player squad of the Pakistan Cricket Team for the forthcoming T20 International series of three matches versus Bangladesh. Agha Salman will continue captaining the team while Elite All-Rounder Shadab Khan has been named as the vice-captain.
The upcoming Pakistan vs Bangladesh T20i series marks a significant feat for the new head coach of the Shaheens, Mike Hesson, as he leads the coaching duties of the national team for the first time in an international role.
The squad selection of the Green Shirts follows the culmination of the 2025 PSL season on the 25th of May, with players selected on the basis of their recent displays in the competition. It's worth noting that the highly influencial trio of Mohammad Rizwan, Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi have not been picked in the squad, indicating a deliberate emphasis on nurturing new talent and progressing the team's development.

Salman Ali Agha (Captain), Fakhar Zaman, Hassan Nawaz, Shadab Khan (Vice-Captain), Faheem Ashraf, Abrar Ahmed, Khushdil Shah, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Haris (WK), Hussain Talat, Mohammad Irfan Khan, Hassan Ali, Saim Ayub, Naseem Shah, Sahibzada Farhan (WK) and Mohammad Wasim JR.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) characterized the squad as a well-rounded combination of promising youngsters and seasoned players, with the goal of creating a formidable squad for upcoming international events. This bilateral series against Bangladesh will also serve as an important platform for the highly-rated youngsters to prove themselves in the International circuit.
All three games of the series will be played at the iconic Gaddafi Stadium of Lahore, with the complete schedule and match-timings to be revealed shortly. This bilateral event will also test the leadership skils of Agha Salman, who has retained his captaincy duties following strong performances in recent PSL & domestic games.
