ENGvsIND: Prithvi Shaw, Suryakumar Yadav to join India in England following injuries.

ENGvsIND: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made its mind to send Suryakumar Yadav and Prithvi Shaw as the two replacements of the three injured cricketers in England.

Suryakumar Yadav, who showed promising signs in the last couple of months, got his maiden Test Call-up and will travel to the UK along with opening batsman Prithvi Shaw.

The replacements have been called for injured Shubman Gill, Avesh Khan and Washington Sundar.

While Gill was ruled out owing to his shin stress injury, Avesh Khan and Washington Sundar sustained blows in their fingers during the three days warm-up matches recently.

?Yes, Prithvi and Surya are flying to the UK from Sri Lanka. Both players will have a bubble to bubble transfer from Colombo to London. Whether they will fly in the middle of the T20 Internationals (Shaw and Suryakumar are part of team in Sri Lanka) or post that is being worked out,? the senior official told PTI.

All-rounder Jayant Yadav, who was also supposed to join India in England, is not going, confirmed the senior BCCI official.

Suryakumar Yadav and Shaw are expected to wrap up the three matches T20I series before joining the Indian outfit in England.

?But yes, they are our replacement players for the Test series in England. They might just leave after the three T20 Internationals but we will get a confirmation in another three days.?

Shaw?s recent form has collected praises from all over the world and the management felt confident calling the player back in the Test setup.

It is noteworthy, Shaw was axed from the squad after consistent failure against Australia and was replaced by Shubman Gill midway through the four matches test series.
