In reply, Babar Azam (68 runs in 42 balls) and Saim Ayub (42 runs in 26 balls) showed some retaliation with their fighting knocks, but following their dismissals, no other Peshawar Zalmi batter was able to capitalize on the start given by the openers, and eventually, Peshawar fell short by 16 runs.
