Rahul Dravid all set to head second-string Team India in the Sri Lanka tour.
Former Indian cricketer and current National Cricket Academy (NCA) head, Rahul Dravid is all set to coach the second-string Indian team in upcoming India?s tour to Sri Lanka. The outfit in blue will travel to Sri Lanka in July for a six games Limited overs series.
The second string Indian team will field in Sri Lanka for three ODI games and as many T20I games in July when the likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant will be in the UK for the five games Test series against England.
?The coaching staff will be in the UK and it is best that the young team is guided by Dravid as he has already worked with almost all of India ?A? boys. The comfort the youngsters share with him will be an added advantage,? a BCCI official told ANI.

It will be the second time for Rahul Dravid to travel with the Indian senior contingent as support staff. Earlier, in 2014 Dravid toured England along with other Indian players as a batting consultant.
Before taking the reins of the National Cricket Academy (NCA) Bangalore as a head, Dravid had coached the young U-19 boys as well as India ?A?.
The squad for the Sri Lanka tour is yet not announced and it is expected that it will be out in late June.?
It will be interesting to see to whom the reins are given for the tour. As per the reports, southpaw Shikhar Dhawan and all-rounder Hardik Pandya are the top contenders for the honours however the exact thought process of the selectors is still unknown.
