Rajeev Shukla all set to become the BCCI next Vice-President.

BCCI Vice President: The former Indian Premier League (IPL) chairman, Rajeev Shukla is all set to become the BCCI?s next Vice-President. It is also learned from the recent reports from sources that the former Indian batsman Brijesh Patel will continue his desk as an IPL Chairman for the second term.

As per the reports, all the BCCI officials have been on the same page to elect Rajeev Shukla as the next Vice-President. The officials have agreed not to carry out the elections and appoint on the basis of unanimous decisions.

BCCI AGM:

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will choose the Vice-President and the other two members of the IPL governing council on the Annual General Meeting (AGM) which is scheduled to be held on 24th December.

The reports suggest that everyone is impressed and agreed with the selection of Rajeev Shukla as the new Vice President of BCCI. Shukla will fill his nominations on Thursday.

Rajeev Shukla previously was Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) secretory till 2017 and has not taken any seat in BCCI till now. He was also the chairman of IPL till 2018.

Shukla?s IPL term is not counted in the cooling-off period by the electoral officers as the committee was previously known as the board sub-committee.

Former IPL Chairman has been the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) nominee for the BCCI AGM and his candidature has been accepted by the electoral officers in the final list provided to the members.

BCCI secretary, Jay Shah has asked all the members joining the BCCI AGM to undergo their RT-PCR tests. While the board will conduct one more before allowing to attend the meeting in Ahmedabad on 24th December.
