Who will become the new captain of the Royal Challengera Bengaluru (RCB) ahead of IPL 2025? This question is trending and it's creating a lot of excitement and curiosity among the fans of the franchise and the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Virat Kohli's close friend and the legendary South African and RCB batter AB de Villiers has given a prediction that Kohli will be seend handling the leadership duties of the franchise, but no official confirmation has been given yet regarding the same. On the other hand, legendary Indian off-spinner Ravi Ashwin has gone on to create a new theory and has given his verdict on who will become the new skipper of RCB?

The YouTube channel of Indian Cricket Team's legendary spinner Ravi Ashwin has become quite popular and his analytical videos which he uploads on a regular basis are very good and worth watching.

Regarding the captaincy conundrum of the Bengaluru based franchise, he said, " If we look at all the things, it's looking highly likely that Virat will become the captain of RCB once again. The reason behind this is that they didn't buy any captain in the Mega-Auction. He (Kohli) can only be ignored for the captaincy post if RCB have decided to hand over the captaincy duties to someone else".

RCB acted in a smart way

When the Royal Challengers Bengaluru bought players in the Mega-Auction, the team management got criticized a lot and got trolled by Cricket fans. But, Ashwin believes that the three-time runner's up have managed to build a very strong squad.

He said, "According to me, they (Bengaluru) had a great Mega-Auction. They had crores of Indian rupees in their auction purse, but their team management acted in a patient way. They knew which player they wanted and targeted those players who will thrive in their home-conditions."

The CSK spinner also mentioned that despite having the luxury of possessing so many Right-to-Match cards, the franchise bought players according to their needs and requirements.

Mo Babat, the Director of Cricket of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru recently talked about the captaincy related news of the franchise. He described Kohli as a highly experienced, senior and a crucial player of the franchise, but according to him, no decision has been made yet regarding the next captain of the team
