Vivo IPL 2021: RCB to bring Sri Lanka all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga as a replacement for Adam Zampa.

Vivo IPL 2021: In a very big development in the Vivo IPL 2021, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is likely to rope in all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga as the replacement for Australian spinner Adam Zampa for the second phase of the Vivo Indian Premier League 2021.

The Sri Lankan cricketer turned the heads of several experts after his exploits in the recent India vs Sri Lanka limited-overs tour. The pundits believe that the sensational performance from the all-rounder can attract bids from the IPL franchise.

The second half of the Indian Premier League 2021 is all set to be staged in the UAE from 19 September onwards.

It?s pretty normal for the franchises to get attracted to the performing cricketers, however, RCB seems to be one that has put its card and asked the BCCI for the services of Sri Lankan spin all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga as a replacement for Adam Zampa, who is likely to be unavailable for the cash-rich tournament.

Zampa pulled back from the IPL 2021 midway citing some personal reasons. RCB didn?t get affected by the move of the spinner as they had the services of Yuzvendra Chahal and Washington Sundar along with a few others who were performing well for the team.

Virat Kohli-led RCB was at a good pace as they managed to win five out of seven games they played and were placed third in the points table.

Wanindu Hasaranga was the pick of bowlers for the Sri Lankan?s in the T20I series. The all-rounder picked seven wickets in three T20I matches along with a few batting shots displays.

If not in this rescheduled IPL season, Hasaranga is very much likely to attract a good bid in the next IPL auction.
