Royal Challengers Bangalore, one of the most popular teams of the Indian Premier League, has had a very exciting 2024. After the first half, RCB's chances of qualification for IPL-2024 were reduced to less than 1%, but despite this, the team qualifies for the playoffs due to its good performance.
The opening match of IPL 2024 was played between defending champion Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore, who were waiting for their first trophy for the last 17 years, in which CSK won the match by six wickets. RCB franchise changed its name from Royal Challengers Bangalore to Royal Challengers Bangaluru this season but apart from the name, there was no change in the performance of the team.
Faf du Plessis lead RCB, winning only one game in the first eight games and facing defeat in seven games. But the men in red made a comeback by winning the next six consecutive matches and qualified for the IPL-2024 playoffs with 14 points in the points table.
In Eliminator-1, Sanju Samson's Rajasthan Royals were in front of Bengaluru, who won the match by four wickets and showed RCB out of the race for the finals. Batting first, Faf Duplessis and company could score only 172 runs in 20 overs, which Rajasthan chased in 19 overs.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore franchise has a good opportunity to strengthen the squad. There is a mega auction before IPL-2025 in which all the players will be put in the auction. The management needs good batsmen, all-rounders in the middle order and good bowlers in the bowling department.

RCB To Retain THESE FOUR Players for IPL 2025 Prediction
Virat Kohli
No franchise can ever make the mistake of letting go of a great player like Virat Kohli, one of the most popular players of present day cricket. This season, Kohli scored a total of 741 runs for RCB in 15 matches at an impressive strike rate of 154.70 and 61.75. This was his second good year in his 17-year long IPL history, before this he had scored 973 runs in IPL-2016 which included four centuries.
In the IPL Mega Auction 2025, the Royal Challengers Bangalore franchise will be the first to retain Virat Kohli without any hesitation.
Rajat Patidar
The second biggest name in the retention list could be that of right handed batsman Rajat Patidar. IPL-2024 proved to be a dream year for Rajat, he scored 395 runs in 15 matches with a strike rate of 177.13 and an average of 34. Patidar provided support to the team after Glenn Maxwell repeatedly failed in the middle order.
Mohammed Siraj
Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj, who has been leading the bowling line-up of Royal Challengers Bangalore for a long time, will also be definitely retained by the RCB franchise in the team. In IPL 2022, the franchise invested Siraj in their team for INR 7 crores.
Mohammed Siraj's IPL-2024 was full of ups and downs. This season Siraj took 15 wickets in 14 matches with an economy of 9.19. Last season IPL-2023, Siraj had taken 19 wickets in 14 matches with an excellent economy of 7.52. The 30-year-old fast bowler is adept at taking wickets in the powerplay overs with his swing and also troubles the batsmen with his yorkers in the death overs.
Will Jacks
25-year-old England batting all-rounder Will Jacks, playing his first IPL game, did brilliantly, RCB purchased Jacks in their team for Rs 3.20 crore in the 2024 mini auction.
Will Jacks scored 230 runs in 8 matches in IPL-2024 at a blazing strike rate of 175.57 and an excellent average of 32.86, which also included a century. Against the Gujarat Titans, Jacks played an inning of 131 runs in just 41 balls with the help of 10 sixes.
