RCB vs LSG: Avesh Khan punished for aggressive celebration, RCB fined for slow over rate: What unfolded last night between RCB and LSG at the Chinnaswamy Stadium was nothing short of drama and thrill. RCB vs LSG game had every bit of emotion in it and kept everyone on their toes from the beginning till the very end. In fact, in the final over when LSG required just five runs to win the contest, and everyone thought it was done and dusted for the RCB, they made a comeback to make it a game of fine margins.

However, amidst all the thrill and drama, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has fined RCB and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) speedster Avesh Khan for their respective misconducts.

While RCB has been reprimanded by the BCCI for maintaining a slow over rate during RCB vs LSG fixture, Avesh Khan was caught off-guard for his unlawful celebration after winning the game against RCB, last night.

In a statement released, the IPL confirmed that pacer Avesh Khan breached the IPL code of conduct after he slammed his helmet on the ground after completing the winning run against RCB.

"Lucknow Super Giants? Avesh Khan has been reprimanded for breaching the Code of Conduct. Avesh admitted to level 1 offence 2.2 of IPL?s Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee?s decision is final and binding," IPL said in a release.

Meanwhile, RCB was found to be well behind the cut-off time of the IPL and thus the guilty captain was subsequently fined INR 12 Lakhs.

"The Royal Challengers Bangalore have been fined for maintaining a slow over-rate during their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 match 15 against the Lucknow Super Giants at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, on Monday.

"As it was the team?s first offence of the season under the IPL?s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences, captain Faf du Plessis was fined??12 lahks," IPL said.

The slow over rate offence in the Indian Premier League includes a penalty of the captain getting banned for a game if his team commits it for the third time. Along with the ban, the skipper will be fined INR 30 Lakhs and the other 10 players will have to pay INR 12 Lakhs or 50 per cent of their match fee, whichever is minimum.
