Rinku Singh ignores CSK or MI; reveals the team he wants to play for in IPL 2025 if KKR release him

Rinku Singh made a name for himself when he finished the IPL 2023 as the leading scorer for Kolkata Knight Riders. It was a successful season for him, where he smashed five consecutive sixes off Yash Dayal to win the game for KKR in a thrilling game.

Those performances helped him make his debut for Team India, and he didn't let the opportunity slip away and did well for India in the limited chances he had. Rinku Singh has been part of Kolkata Knight Riders since 2018.

The franchise has groomed him into a match-winning superstar. But will KKR retain him ahead of the IPL 2025, or will he have a new team in the coming season? Well, Rinku reveals the team that he wants to play for.

IPL 2025: Rinku Singh wants to play for RCB if KKR release him in 2025

The 18th edition of the Indian Premier League will have a mega auction. All ten teams can only retain a limited number of players, which will force them to release most of their stars ahead of the IPL 2025 auction. That's where Rinku Singh revealed a team that he wants to be part of if KKR releases him in 2025.

In a recent interview with Sports Today, he revealed that he wants to play for RCB with Virat Kohli. When asked about which team he would want to play for, he said, "RCB, because Virat is there." Rinku is with KKR for a price of INR 55 lakh.

The three-time champions already have a few confirmed retentions, but they might look to use the Right to Match (RTM) card for Rinku Singh to have him back. The left-hander was part of the T20I series against Sri Lanka, which India won by a 3-0 margin.

He even bowled in the first game and bowled one over. It was the 19th over of the game where he picked up two wickets to change the outcome of the match. Rinku Singh is not part of the upcoming Duleep Trophy 2024 because his numbers in the Ranji Trophy aren't good.
