India captain Rohit Sharma has been under a lot of scanner for his poor returns in Test cricket.

India captain Rohit Sharma has been under a lot of scanner for his poor returns in Test cricket. The skipper hasn't been at his best with the bat in the longest format of the game, and this has seen him facing a lot of flak, with many calling him a burden on the team.

Things have turned bad to worse for Rohit Sharma in the ongoing Australia tour as he has failed terribly with the bat in the two games that he has played. The batter missed the first game due to the birth of his child and joined the team in Adelaide, where the pink-ball Test was played.

Rohit Sharma sacrificed his batting position for KL Rahul as he moved down the order but didn't have the kind of outing he would've wanted. The premier batter failed to set the stage in Adelaide as he was back in the hut for low scores in both innings and faced a lot of criticism.

The same fate unfolded for him in the next game in Gabba. The India captain managed just 10 runs in the third Test and it saw more criticism for him. There emerged a lot of calls related to his retirement as well. But the skipper has now made a massive statement.

As long as my mind, my body, and my feet are moving well, I'm happy - Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma admitted that there is no harm in accepting that he has failed, but he is preparing well, and in his mind, he has ticked all the boxes. He said that as long as his mind, body, and feet are moving well, he will continue playing. Speaking during press-conference, he explained:

"I have not batted well. There's no harm in accepting that. But I know what's in my mind, how I'm preparing myself. All those boxes are very much ticked. It's just about spending as much time as possible, which I'm pretty sure I'm just there. As long as my mind, my body, and my feet are moving well, I'm pretty happy with how things are planning out for me."

Rohit Sharma admitted that his preparations are right on track, and he believes that a big score is around the corner. He admitted that although his runs haven't come he his is feeling good. He elaborated:

"Sometimes those numbers can tell you that it's been a while since he's got big runs. But for a person like me, I think it's all about how I feel in my mind, what kind of prep I'm having before each game, and how I'm feeling about myself. That's the most important thing. And I'm feeling good about myself, to be honest. Runs are obviously not showing that, but inside it's a different feeling."
