But, Now Rohit himself shed light on his retirement plans in the latest interview with??Breakfast with Champions '.
Currently, Rohit Sharma is playing for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 but he is not leading the team as Hardik Pandya replaces him as new captain. This helps Rohit a lot to focus on his game and if we look at all the matches so far, Rohit Sharma is playing fantastic cricket in TATA IPL 2024.
However, Rohit Sharma will be leading the Indian Team in the ICC Men?s T20 World Cup 2024, which is scheduled to start on June 02, 2024. Rohit Sharma with Indian Team management will be looking to have a strong squad in the tournament to replicate the same performance as they did in the ODI World Cup 2023.

Team India?s preparation for ICC Men?s T20 World Cup 2024:
As of now, Most of the players are playing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 and it will end two weeks before the ICC Men?s T20 World Cup 2024. Therefore, Teams didn?t have enough time to prepare for the tournament which is why players will be looking to have a good performance in the TATA IPL 2024.
However, The Selection of the Indian Team will be primarily based on their past and recent performances but TATA IPL 2204 will play a crucial role. If we look at the performances of key players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav and Rishabh Pant, they are playing exceptional cricket.
However, some of the youngsters like Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jitesh Sharma aren?t playing good cricket but the players like Riyan Parag and Ishan Kisan are showing their class in the TATA IPL 2024 with the bat.?
