Ros Taylor Becomes most capped player for New Zealand across formats.

New Zealand vs Pakistan: New Zealand?s senior batsman Ros Taylor on Saturday becomes the most capped player in the history of New Zealand?s cricket. Taylor achieved this feat while walking to bat against Pakistan in the first test match at Bay Oval on 26th December.

Ros Taylor?s appearance on the first test match against Pakistan was his 438th match leaving behind former New Zealand cricketer Daniel Vettori.

New Zealand cricket tweeted this feat saying: "Out comes @RossLTaylor, now New Zealand's most capped player across all three formats with 438* matches.?

Before Ros Taylor?s record, Daniel Vettori held the record of playing most games for New Zealand. Vettori across all formats featured in 437 games.

The number three on the list of most appearances is Brendon McCullum with 432 outings followed by Stephen Fleming with 395 games under his belt.

New Zealand's innings:

The start to New Zealand vs Pakistan test match did not go well as the opener Tom Latham was dismissed by Shaheen Afridi in the opening over itself.

Afridi took another scalp to send Tom Bundell back to the pavilion in the 11th over.

Ros Taylor took the field and scored a brilliant half-century before getting dismissed. Taylor smashed 70 runs with 10 fours and a six in his innings.

While skipper Kane Williamson is still standing strong at the crease.
