RR vs GT: Rajasthan Royals stun Gujarat Titans with a brilliant run chase of 210 runs, 14-year-old Suryavanshi scrips history with a hundred

RR pulled off a remarkable chase of 210, defeating GT by 8 wickets and ending their losing streak. Young guns Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi were the heroes, with Suryavanshi smashing a record-breaking 17-ball fifty and a 35-ball century, becoming the youngest to achieve both in IPL history. Jaiswal also contributed a half-century. Despite GT's earlier strong batting performance, featuring half-centuries from Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler, their bowling faltered. A dropped catch of Jaiswal early on proved pivotal, as RR cruised to victory with 25 balls left, significantly denting GT's net run rate.

RR vs GT: Rajasthan Royals stun Gujarat Titans with a brilliant run chase of 210 runs, 14-year-old Suryavanshi scrips history with a hundred

The Rajasthan Royals have really wreaked havoc in this chase of 210! Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi, two youthful sensations, have helped RR to an incredible triumph. They won by eight wickets in this match, ending their five-match losing streak and preserving their prospects of making the playoffs

The young, explosive combination of Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal provided the Rajasthan Royals with a fantastic start as they chased a large total. During the Powerplay, they pounded the boundaries and put on a fantastic display throughout the park as they attacked the Gujarat Titans. 14-year-old wonderkid Vaibhav Suryavanshi became the youngest player in the history of the Tata IPL to make a half-century after hitting his first IPL fifty in just 17 balls! The two scored 87 runs in the Powerplay, setting the stage for the epic chase, and the fireworks didn't end there.

Rewriting the record books as the youngest IPL centurion, Vaibhav resumed his onslaught without letting up, sprinting to his first IPL century off just 35 balls. Even though Prasidh Krishna eventually dismissed the new sensation after Yashasvi Jaiswal achieved a well-earned half-century, the damage had already been done. Riyan Parag and Yashasvi Jaiswal made sure there were no more disruptions, leading the Rajasthan Royals home with a tidy chase with 25 balls remaining, despite Rashid Khan's temporary boost in confidence with another wicket.

With the ball in hand, the Gujarat-based team had a memorable day. In the second innings, Rashid Khan took over as captain after Shubman Gill was replaced due to a minor back spasm, but GT never really settled in. A pivotal moment occurred early on when Jos Buttler dismissed Yashasvi Jaiswal for just two runs, a costly error that ultimately came back to haunt them. The Royals' hitters made GT pay a heavy price after that. Every Gujarati bowler save Rashid Khan was destroyed, and the Titans were unable to respond to the unrelenting attack. Their net run rate is also negatively impacted by this crushing loss, which puts them under additional pressure as the tournament draws to a close.

The Gujarat Titans demonstrated their dominance at the top earlier in the match, with their top three players putting on a show and scoring more than 200. With a fluid 93-run partnership, Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill established a good base. In the middle overs, Gill and Jos Buttler changed tactics to ensure the impressive start was completely capitalized on. Gill eventually left after a graceful 84, but Buttler maintained the momentum by launching a late attack to reach his half-century and lead GT to a commanding 209. It was by no means the Rajasthan Royals' finest performance. Their bowling lacked venom, and their fielding was inconsistent. Off-spinner Theekshana was the lone warrior with two scalps, but overall, the Royals' bowling effort fell well short of the mark too.
