RSA vs IND, 1st T20I: Team India is in terrific form under the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav. In the recently concluded 5-match T20i series, the Men in Blue defeated Australia 4-1. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad have helped India get off to some quick starts in the first six overs, and they will seek to do the same against South Africa.

Rinku Singh has excelled as a finisher for the Indian side and will look to do so again against the Proteas. The No. 1 T20I batter in the world and Skipper Surya were good with the bat in the first three matches vs. Australia, but he struggled in the last two matches of the five-match series, so he would want to get some runs under his belt. Shreyas Iyer was in the best form of his life at No. 4 in the recently concluded ODI World Cup and even scored a 50 in the 5th T20I against Australia, so he would be looking to continue his rich vein of form.

Ravi Bishnoi, the world’s No. 1 T20I bowler, will be trying to challenge the South African hitters with his spin. Mukesh Kumar has been excellent with the ball for India, particularly in the death overs, and he would like to maintain his good form. Arshdeep was a costly bowler in the series against Australia, and he’d want to deliver some economic spells against the South Africans. Deepak Chahar may not play in the T20s due to his father’s recent brain stroke, but he may play in the ODIs.

The first Twenty20 International against India on December 10 will be the first match the Proteas will play since their semi-final loss to Australia in the ODI World Cup; therefore, they will be hoping to develop a side capable of winning their first ever T20 World Cup.
