RSA vs IND, 2nd T20I: Team India is presently in South Africa for a total of eight matches, including three Twenty20 Internationals, three One-Day Internationals, and two Test matches. Suryakumar Yadav will continue leading the Men in Blue for the 3T20i?s after helping Team India register a dominating 4-1 series win against Australia.
The first T20I between India and South Africa was intended to take place last Sunday at the Kingsmead Stadium in Durban, but it was called off owing to rain, and the toss also did not take place due to the rain interruption. Sunil Gavaskar, the former Indian batter, criticized the CSA (Cricket South Africa) for not covering the entire ground when rain started falling before the toss.
In an interview with Star Sports, Gavaskar said, "If the ground remains uncovered and the rain stops, you know it doesn't start for another hour. Suddenly, it rains again. So there's no play whatsoever. Everybody (cricket boards) is getting a lot of money. Let's make no mistake. All the cricket boards have plenty of money. If they say they don't, they are lying. They might not have as much money as the BCCI. Fair enough. But every board has got money to buy these covers to cover the entire ground.?
The 2nd T20i match between India and South Africa is scheduled to take place today at St George's Park in Gqeberha, and the match will start at 8:30pm IST. Let's have a look at three Indian players to watch out for in the 2nd T20i.
3 Indian Players to watch out for in the 2nd T20I
Ruturaj Gaikwad
Ruturaj Gaikwad was in pretty good form vs Australia in the 5-match T20i series and was the highest run scorer in the series, scoring 223 runs which included a knock of 123 runs off just 57 balls in the 3rd T20i at Guwahati at a strike rate of 215.79. The 26-year-old will be hoping to continue his rich vein of form against South Africa in the 2nd T20i. Ruturaj Gaikwad is also the frontrunner to replace MS Dhoni as the captain of CSK.
Rinku Singh
All eyes would be on Rinku Singh in the T20i series vs. South Africa. Rinku was really good with the bat against Australia in the 5-match T20i series and played the role of a finisher to perfection. He would be hoping to finish games off for India in South Africa as well. The 26-year-old can do well in South African conditions due to his attacking skills, and he can also adjust his game according to the demands of the situation.
Ravi Bishnoi
Ravi Bishnoi, the man of the series against Australia, grabbed nine wickets in the five-match T20i series, becoming the No. 1 ranked bowler in T20i cricket. He performed admirably under pressure, particularly during the powerplay. India will rely on him in the middle overs since he is strong at bowling key overs and can outperform a relatively inexperienced South African batting attack.
