Pakistan vs South Africa: Pakistan?s all-rounder Shabad Khan has been ruled out of the remainder of the Pakistan vs South Africa games after he sustained a toe injury. The cricketer will remain off action for at least four weeks.
According to the report of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Shadab Khan picked up a toe injury while batting in the second ODI game against South Africa.
Khan was taken for the medical scans post the match and it was revealed an ?intra-articular communicated fracture? though there is nothing of fracture or angulation.
?The injury will be treated conservatively and Shadab will undergo a four-week rehab.?
Pakistan Cricket Board does not specify whether Shadab Khan will return to Pakistan for his further rehab or will remain with the team in South Africa.
No replacement has been called as of now by the Pakistan Cricket Board for the injured cricketer.
Pakistan won the first ODI while South Africa made a strong comeback to win the second. The third and the series decider ODI will be played on 07th April following by the four games T20I games.
The Twenty-Twenty Internationals between both the teams will begin 10th April onwards.
Khan is in and out of the national team due to various injuries concerns in the last two years. He recently recovered from other injuries and missed the home series against South Africa and Zimbabwe.
